If there is one thing every consumer likes, it’s technology that makes the things we do every day easier or more comfortable for us to actually do. In this case, we are going to take a look at a new product from Bose that makes listening to music even more comfortable. The Bose SoundWear Companion speaker is designed to look (and function) like a neck pillow while also functioning as a high-end portable speaker. Bose is very well-known for the audio quality of their products, but they are now making an effort to be known for comfort as well as practicality. What sets the SoundWear apart from its competitors is the ability to, as the name suggests, wear it around. While most portable speakers are typically shaped like cylinders or rectangles, the SoundWear is in more of a U-shape, designed to be worn and not carried.
The SoundWear has a moderate 12-hour battery life and, like most other portable speakers, allows the user to make phone calls or use the phone’s built-in assistant (such as Siri or Google Assistant). Essentially, the SoundWare is the same as most speakers out there, it’s just the only one you can wear comfortably.
While the SoundWear sounds cool, is it actually worth spending $299 on? That answer depends. If you are already looking to spend $300 on a speaker and want one that can be brought with you wherever you go, even if that’s just around the house, then it is definitely worth checking out. If you’re not looking to spend $300 on a speaker, however, it might be best to pass on this one. Have more cool tech you want us to share? Let us know on Twitter at @GetUnboxed!
