It’s been another eventful week in gaming, headlined by the release of the SNES Classic, so let’s take a look back at some of the biggest stories in gaming from the last week.
SNES Classic Is Out (And Sold Out)
If you’re like me and you missed your chance to preorder the SNES Classic, you probably know by now the only way to get one is to pay a scalper over double the retail price. If you’re not like me and don’t want to pay $150 for one, you can at least take a look at how great the SNES Classic is and hope one day it will be in stock for more than five minutes.
Cuphead Is Really, Really Hard
At first glance, Cuphead looks like a children’s game that anyone can beat in 20 minutes. As I learned the hard way this last week, it is not that easy. The game is out on Xbox One and PC for only $20 and I highly recommend checking it out, just be prepared for the challenge.
FIFA 18 Launches
It’s the last of the major sports games to come out every year, but it is often the best. Ok, maybe I am a little biased since I am a massive fan of soccer and the FIFA franchise, but FIFA 18 is a glorious addition to the beloved franchise. Alex Hunter continues his journey in FIFA’s single-player story mode and it is much improved from part one in FIFA 17.
Golf Story Is Out On Nintendo Switch
I’ll be the first to admit that Golf Story didn’t even come across my radar until it had been out for a few days, but the classic looking golf RPG is the perfect balance of sports and RPG elements. At less than $20, this is a must-have game for anyone with a Nintendo Switch.
